The #1 Spring Fashion Trend Inspired by the ’60s

The #1 spring fashion trend inspired by the ’60s is color. Color is the new nude as it takes over the spring fashion trends for 2021. Nudes are still alive and well as we saw in the fall, but color is really making a comeback as we dive deeper into the 60s/70s fashion era. The top colors are yellow and pink, butttt I’ve really been loving blue and orange as well. If color isn’t your thing then here are 4 more spring trends to prepare for!

Keep it Simple – Denim

If you’re not sure how to style colors then my go-to outfit is blue jeans and a colorful top! Spring fashion trends are all about embracing color and retro prints, but you can keep it safe with denim. Of all of the colors, blue is the easiest on the eyes if you aren’t trying to draw too much attention to yourself.

Keep it Sophisticated – Monochrome

Another way to embrace color is to make your WHOLE outfit colorful with a monochromatic look. No need to worry about making sure you’re wearing the same shade of whatever color you choose because that’s the joy of monochrome.

Make it Neutral – Nude Accessories

We’re taking the heat up a notch with brighter more vibrant colors, but you can always tone it down with a nude top or jacket or even accessories. The nude will “cool down” any vibrant color without making your outfit too busy or distracting.

Keep it Busy – Mix and Match Prints and Colors

Have some fun and try mixing prints and colors in any variation this spring! Remember, confidence is key. Animal print is almost a basic color these days so it’s an easy outfit idea. I also love mixing stripes and polka dots. If you’re looking to mix colors try two bold colors, two light colors, or two colors that are in a piece of your outfit (take the pink and green in the jacket on the right for example)!
