5 Spring Fashion Trends to Prepare For

Spring fashion trends already?! Where has the time gone? I feel like I was just scouting out fall outfit ideas last week. Nevertheless, it’s time to prep for spring, and there’s a good mix of new and old trends resurfacing! We’ll definitely have to do a series of blog posts since there are so many trends, but here’s our first take on how we’d style several spring 2021 fashion trends.

Two Trends – Animal Print & Vibrant Color

Exotic Animal Print

Cow print, zebra print, tiger print you name it! You’ll be seeing this hot 2020 trend again in spring fashion trends for 2021. To be honest, I was a little nervous when I first started seeing exotic animal prints back in 2018, but now BRING IT ON! Animal print is almost second nature at this point. Similar to leopard print, the other animal prints have turned into an everyday staple color like black and brown.

Try replacing your casual bottoms, like a black skirt or denim jeans,  with animal print. You can simplify the outfit with a plain top to add more focus to the pants.

Vibrant Colors

It’s safe to say vintage/retro fashion trends are taking the fashion world by storm! Last year we were in the 90s/80s, and this year we’re adding the 60s/70s to the mix. A throwback to the 60s means bold colors and patterns, but that doesn’t mean neutrals are going anywhere. It also explains why yellow was named THE COLOR OF THE YEAR.

Three Trends – Gingham, Loafers, & Yellow Sunglasses

Gingham

I think gingham is making a “comeback” because all prints are thriving in the spring 2021 fashion trend lineup. I personally don’t believe gingham ever goes out of style (similar to leopard print) but to each their own.

There’s a lot of cute plaid floating around, but this dress caught my eye! It’s fun, flirty, AND a subtle statement. Gingham pants or gingham oversized button-downs/shackets are also fun pieces to dress up or dress down!

Loafers

One may argue that loafers are an ugly grandpa shoe, butttt “grandpa fashion” is alive and well this year. I paired the plaid dress with loafers and socks because I get tired of wear chunky boots sometimes. You can replace your combat boots with loafers in almost any outfit for a preppy vibe. I love wearing them with

Yellow Sunglasses

Yellow sunglass? YASSSS! This trend came out of nowhere, but it’s my absolute favorite! I’ve seen them all over Instagram and Pinterest, and they just look so chic. You can turn any plain outfit into SPICE with a pair of yellow framed sunglasses. Sunglasses, in general, are an affordable way to elevate any outfit for spring. The skinny sunglasses are slowly going out of style, but I bought a few pairs last year so I plan on getting my money’s worth!! Luckily, I bought my yellow sunglasses for $15
