Styling Trendy Prints: Mother-Daughter Edition

Styling trendy prints are one of our favorite things to do! From exotic animal prints to simple polka dots, we love them ALL. There’s no need to be afraid of a popping print because it adds so much character to a simple outfit. My go-to is animal print. Two years ago animal print meant cheetah print only, but now that can range from cheetah to snakeskin to zebra and even tiger. We obviously can’t forget about classic prints like stripes and polka dots. Regardless of the print you choose, we’re here to provide you with some fashion inspiration and print mixing guides.

One of the safest ways to style prints is with jeans or in a monochromatic look. The blue striped shirt pairs well with the midi skirt even though they might not be the exact same blue. Note: Your monochrome colors don’t have to be exact to look flawless! The skirt also adds a flowy touch since the stripes are structured and almost stiff.

You can also go all out when styling trendy prints. Branch out in a full zebra dress, but keep everything else simple. Minimal accessories and shoes allow the outfit to be the main focus point. However, if your feeling a little fancy add a pop of color in your purse or sunglasses. Accessories are forgiving, so you can pick ANY color (matching or not). Plus if all else fails and you end up not linking the color, then you can simply ditch the accessories!
