How to Make Pastel Pairings Work With Your Wardrobe

I usually play on the bold side of the coloring box with the prerequisite pastel color for Easter. This Spring and Summer however pastels are the it palette.  The runways, streets, and magazines are full of pastel       inspiration. What drew me to the pastels however are unusual pairings and the pattern mixing that I’ve seen on the runway and in magazines. I live for putting odd colors and patterns together and going outside the norm — successfully. Challenge accepted!

Pastel yellow:

I love yellow, especially mustard yellow. Pastel yellow however to me is almost like a neutral as you can pair it with so much! Blue, pink, green, or peach like I did in this outfit! Since shoes are my first love I couldn’t help but throw in this pair of blue leopard print heels. I don’t wear shoes because they match. I wear them because they make me happy!

Mint to be:

You either love mint or you don’t.  I love mint as it’s in the blue family. If you peek at my Instagram you’d realize that blue – any and all shades of it – is a favorite color of ours! I’ve seen blue paired with lavender, so I dug in my belt drawer and whipped out this tiny lavender belt to add a little oomph to my mint SheIn dress.

Just a Little Blue:

Instyle Magazine’s Full Spectrum article paired pink with red to make it more springy. Since pink is not at the top of my preference list and my selection is limited I paired my red top with this minty blue bag for that spring like touch. And I say yes to pairing cobalt blue with blush pink pants!
