Fall capsule wardrobes and year-round capsule wardrobes have been all the rage, but how beneficial are they? It’s all personal preference. If they work for you and help you feel like your most confident self, then don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!!
I think a fall capsule wardrobe is great for starting a base level of outfits. I also love mixing everyday staples with trendy pieces because it’s the perfect way to stretch your wardrobe. Fall fashion is the most consistent, so it would be smart to craft a fall wardrobe of pieces like leather pants, a black blazer, and much more. Nonetheless, it can feel boring after a while with repetitive outfit mixing and matching. There isn’t much color, pattern, or texture in traditional capsule wardrobes to help break up the monotony. But who says you can’t make a trendy capsule wardrobe or have multiple?

My black combat boots, sheer tights, and black shirt are considered regular fall capsule wardrobe staples. Also, the black blazer would be a part of that group, but the feather sleeves elevate it to the trendy capsule wardrobe section along with my purple wide-leg shorts. (I own three colors)
Adding a few pieces that pop to your capsule wardrobe rotation helps your outfits pop that much more. I could wear my feather blazer of purple shorts every day styled differently and serve a wow moment every time. I can’t say the same for my regular oversized black blazer or black leather shorts.

Note, a capsule wardrobe should be tailored to your style and what you feel comfortable with. For my mom, these purple cargo pants are in her REGULAR capsule wardrobe because she loves color and wears something colorful in every outfit. Meanwhile, her fringe bag is a trendy accessory that elevates any outfit.
