Winter Essentials Checklist with Chadwicks of Boston

Now that I’ve moved to Minneapolis, winter takes up 6 months of my year. Since the end of September the “high” temperatures have been consistently in the 50s!! I could no longer rely on my Texas norm of winterizing my summer clothes. I needed to do a wardrobe revamp with quality winter pieces and quickly! My first though was to create a list of all the things I would need, and want, to stay warm for winter because of course I still wanted to look cute.  Although I’m adjusting to my new lifestyle and embracing the cold weather, I was a tad nervous as it could still take time to find just the right pieces to complete my checklist.

My winter essentials:

1. A Long Warm Jacket – I wanted a coat that was durable, warm, and less cumbersome than a big down jacket. Also, after doing extensive research, everyone on Minneapolis advised that I get a coat that covers my bum so it doesn’t freeze off! HAHA This is something I never had to think about in Texas
2. Sweaters, Sweaters, and more SWEATERS! – the more the merrier! But… quality sweaters mean less layers without compromising warmth for the more ‘Fall like’ temperatures
3. Warm Bottoms – pants, skirts, anything! Sometimes jeans or slacks don’t protect you enough when it’s cold though.
