Trendy spring fashion from last year is amazing because it means I get to spend less money on new spring clothes! The game of shopping is really just finding a balance between wardrobe staples and trendy fashion. Wardrobe staples allow you to make your outfits interchangeable while trendy pieces allow your outfits to pop and let your personality shine through. If you’re lucky, some of the trendy items evolve into staples or at least trendy items that last three to five years at a minimum which is a plus.

Nothing better than saving money by investing in trendy seasonal pieces that stay trendy for a few years. The trends that last are typically trends that are slightly “elevated” basics or capsule wardrobe pieces along with pieces that make the majority of women comfortable in their bodies. For instance, straight-leg jeans “replaced” skinny jeans becoming a new staple. However, low-rise jeans are also trending but may make many people uncomfortable exposing that part of their body, so it’s a riskier trendy item to invest in.
