A facial date with Sunday Riley Skincare

I’ve had a date set with Sunday Riley for a long time. Truth is my daughter has been giving me advice and tips about skincare for forever. Yes, roles reversal as she just soaks up all the research and then tells me what to try or not try. One year she bought me a Clarisonic for Christmas as my minimum regimen wasn’t up to snuff in her book. Face wash is face wash, right? Not in her book! She swears I take five years to take note of her skincare suggestions. I’d have to admit I was not a very good listener until lately. So much so that a few weeks ago I finally went to Sephora to get some of the products she has been telling me about.

And ohhhh emmmm geeeee…. let me tell you about the Sunday Riley Good Genes!! I started off with the Flash Fix Kit as a test. If you’re hesitant or you don’t want to make that investment try this kit! The cleanser suds up quickly so you don’t need a lot. The Good Genes tingled a bit the first time I used it but just that first time. My daughter did suggest that I could use it as a mask and remove it if it was too harsh for my skin. The Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment boasts that it “immediately exfoliates dull, pore-clogging dead skin cells, and reveals smoother, clearer, younger-looking skin. With continued use, the appearance of dark spots and the visible signs of aging are reduced for a healthier-looking complexion.”

Well they can take that boast to the bank!!! It has been a miracle worker. The right side of my face has had some black spots from pimples for as long as I could remember. By the time they start clearing up another pimple will pop up and scar the area all over again. I am here to tell you that this past Sunday I did not have to use any concealer at all with my makeup. Sayyyy what??? No say whoooo? Sunday Riley that’s who!

Hey Good Looking!

With the kit size I quickly ran out of the Good Genes. I may have been a tad overzealous and used too much. Ha!  Seeing the results however I immediately stocked up on the full-size version of Good Genes intent this time to use the required one to two pumps and use it once a day. My face feels and looks so great and I do not wake up with a shiny nose. My daughter does not know this but I think she created a monster as now I’m as face obsessed as she is with my weekly facials. (Then again she should know form the number of pictures I’ve sent her laely of my face!) I don’t need to have an event to put my skincare in full gear. I’m really inspired now to get the kind of skin that just needs lip gloss and dab of mascara or lashes. Look out for reviews of my other purchases! And yes, I’ll urge my daughter to share her tips and tricks as well.  Clear skin here we come — ‘hey good looking” indeed!
