We all love a good trench coat because it makes for the perfect staple coat that can be worn year-round. When I spotted this orange coat, I knew it was coming home with me immediately. It is such an eye-catching statement piece perfect for rainy weather outfits. Having a few attention-grabbing staple clothing items is the best way to make a plain capsule wardrobe outfit new and exciting.

The simple version of this rainy weather outfit would be jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers or a matching sweat set/leggings and sneakers.
Phase two would be adding in some color whether that’s with your pants or a tap. If color isn’t your thing, then you can incorporate different prints and patterns. I was headed to brunch, so I chose a colorful pair of kitten heels. Nonetheless, I’m a huge fan of wearing sneakers with every outfit, so that’s always a cute alternative.
Phase three is the trench coat. I kept my top neutral since the trench coat is so bright and vibrant, but if the trench coat was tan then, I would have swapped out my top for a shirt in the pink color family to color coordinate with my jeans. All together, it creates a fun rainy weather outfit idea for spring.
