Meet Mini Bag ‘Sade’ – The handbag you need today

The mini bag Sade

Today  the mini bag is a wardrobe do and my ‘Sade‘ bag from F&W Style is a definite must have! I find the small bag trend quite intriguing actually as I remember when I could (and would) put my house in my handbag and still have room — lotion, lipstick, perfume, make-up, iPad, bible, candy, pins, phone…you name it! (Cue Shirely Ceasars song). I don’t know about you but I’m amazed that I’m functioning and thriving with a mini bag given my history! — lipstick, credit card and phone for the win. Interestingly enough it reminds me of the evolution of the ipod as it moved from mini to nano and I have seen nano bags popping up.

Yellow is the new black

I’d be honest when I say I really don’t know if I can go as small as a nano bag!  My Sade mini bag however is the perfect size, and color! I love yellow… as a matter fact I love bright colors and meadow lark is the IT color of SS18. So it wasn’t hard for me to support the Sade kickstarter project and to choose my mini bag. This little girl is going with me everywhere! Don’t think either that yellow is limiting. I’m here to tell you that yellow is the new black!!! The Sade mini bag with its “hand woven African fabric and modern design” adds the perfect oomph to any outfit. Of course you can choose a different color for your wardrobe!

Your spiritual mini bag

With the mini bag trend and the way it’s prevented me from lugging my house around in my bag I think of a devotional I read. The author reminded us that God supplies all our needs and even when we think we’re lacking we’re not.  With the mini bag it limits what I can take and I realized I really didn’t need all the extra stuff. When Jesus sent the disciples out to preach He placed a limit on what they could take. “Take nothing for the journey except a staff,” said Jesus. “No bread, no bag, no money in your belts. Wear sandals but not an extra shirt” (Mark 6:8–9).  The disciples learned to rely on God for everything. For our spiritual mini bags we don’t need our hook ups, our phone a friend cards, our Pastor on speed dial, our doubt and fears or our hang ups. All we need in our spiritual mini bags is mustard seed faith and prayer. What’s in your spiritual mini bag?

Love that bag!! So cute!! I’m with Dafra here too…the struggle to not carry a year’s worth of life supplies in my handbag is so REAL! I’d definitely learn to carry less with this lovely bag! – Stephanie | http://www.theborrowedbabes.com

Girl that bag is so small I am hyperventilating! I am still squarely in the “carry your whole house in your purse” camp, so I may take some time to reach your level! 😀
