Lipstick deals and steals for National Lipstick Day

National Lipstick Day is Sunday July 29th. Yes yes! That is indeed a thing! HA!

Funnily enough as much as I love lipstick and my lips this was not always the case growing up. I was very self-conscious of my lips. I remember being told then your lips are so thick, or you have big lips. Someone even referred to them as soup coolers. I used to line them on the inside to try and make them not look so big too. And I never wore light colored lipsticks as I looked wayyyy too lippy. Or so I thought.

Looking back I try to justify it in my head why I listened to the noise. I used to tell myself that I was skinnier then and my face was smaller and so they were probably big. Nahhhhh I was just insecure! That all changed in college when I watched a set by comedian Sheryl Underwood when she said “all my lips are big.”  I adopted that outlook then and today I’m in love with my full lips! So much so that for National Lipstick Day I will be at Kroger picking up several lipsticks with my 50% off coupon!
