What’s your word for the year or inspiration for 2020?

Typically, I don’t choose a word for the year. Or even a statement for the matter. Last year was incredibly hard on my family however, and on my birthday at the end of the year I decided that year 46 and 2020 in general would be mine and I’d find the win every time.

Declaring a year, yours however, requires action. Expectations must be driven by effort, yes?! Beyond effort, life will throw you curve balls. Sometimes too, it’s just balls in general that we drop, perceive as curved, or miss altogether. It then comes down to perspective. How we face the missteps, disappointments and valleys of life. This is where faith in the face of adversity plays a big part. It demands that we hold on to God so tightly that nothing and no one can knock the joy out of us.

So, for year 46 and 2020 my word is win. “Find the win in every situation. Give zero time and thought to negative energy. And refuse to dance to anyone else’s tune but my own.” And our hashtag for the year is #FindTheWin

What’s your word or inspiration for 2020?

Here are some of the words my friends shared as their word for the year.

Freakdeluxe

Believe: I have to believe in myself and the power that I have to make my life great

Courthousecouture

Love: I want love to flow through me to others. I want to experience love from family and friends. I want to be assured of the value of love in a world that isn’t always loving. I want to love myself in a way that helps me love others.

Pearlsandpencil

Possible: Anything is possible as long as God is with me

DrKiaraking

Shine: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matt 5:16

I want my literal and spiritual gifts/skills to shine and make room for me. People always tell me I am light, a breath of fresh air so I want that to radiate this year more than before.

Elevate: I feel like it can be applied whether I’m high or low. Things won’t always be great, but if I look for the positive and choose to apply what I learn to keep moving forward, I will always come out on top.

Naturally_t.mo

Plan or Consistency: They are the two things that hold me back from greatness!!

Success: 2020 is my year and success in my company is what I seek

Let’s take a leap this year sis! Go win!
