Best Polka Dots for your Summer Wardrobe

Have you spotted any polka dots in your fashion neighborhood? We’ve seen the print all across the gram the season as fashionistas everywhere embrace the seasons fad, with skirts, dresses, and tops. The size and color of the dots are irrelevant as big, small and mid-sized polka dots reign in the stores and our wardrobe.

I’ve always been a fan as I associate the print with old Hollywood elegance fit for ladies who lunch and launch. Then again perhaps subliminally my love of the song “she wore an itsy, bitsy, yellow, polka dot bikini” feeds my affinity to polka dot. Who knows! (Now, I’ll be psychoanalyzing myself to understand why…that’s another blog or 4. HA!)

Polka Dots Trend

This week, Banana Republic popped in my email declaring that polka dots are the “universal summer print.” And we agree! What about you? What’s your favorite summer print or trend? Truth be told all prints are my favorite as you can see from how I styled my polka dots. One thing to remember when mixing prints is to find at least one dominant color to tie them together!
